A Smash up Between a Kristin Hannah and Amy Tan

When I started the Raina Sun Mystery series, I wanted to write a heart-warming family drama with a twist of Chinese flair (like a smash up between a Kristin Hannah and Amy Tan). But I guess my subconscious decided I need a heavy dose of Janet Evanovich in the mix too. And once Po Po entered the story, the rest is history. All I can do reduce her theatrics because she's winking at the audience every time she walks into a scene.
