For those who are interested, Gusty Lovers and Cadavers (Raina Sun Mystery #2) is on sale now at Amazon. I’m still squeezing in writing time at 10-15 minute increments while I’m doing the mom thing to two small children and working full time.
I’m having a lot of fun re-introducing the Sun family members in Book 3. There’s Cassie the stay-at-home mom, Mom the ex-socialite, and Tristan with all his teen angst. And of course, I had to bring Po Po back. There wouldn’t be a story without this pimp-cane towing ninja wannabe granny. I love exploring all these female relationships in the series.
Interestingly, I started the series wanting to write a heart-warming family drama with a twist of Chinese flair (like a smash up between a Kristin Hannah and Amy Tan). But I guess my subconscious decided I need a heavy dose of Janet Evanovich in the mix too. And once Po Po entered the story, the rest is history. All I can do reduce her theatrics because she's winking at the audience every time she walks into a scene.
Happy reading and thanks for visiting Anne R. Tan.
I just finished reading both books, and enjoyed them a lot. Am curious to see how Po Po deals with her dilemma. Thanks for the enjoyable subjects!

Hi Sue,
Thank you for the comment. It made my day. I’m glad you enjoyed the books. As for Po Po, I’m wondering the same thing myself. Sometimes I don’t even know where the characters are headed until I get there with them as the words appear on the page.
